Marvin, SD: Blue Cloud Quarterly, 1980. Staplebound. [20p.] staplebound pamphlet, 5.5 x 8.25 inches. Staples lightly rusted, pen mark over mailing address on rear cover, else very good. Blue Cloud Quarterly; vol. XXVI, no. 3. Conley was born in Oklahoma in 1940, and was an enrolled member of the United Keetowah Band of Cherokee Indians. He was the director of Indian Studies at Morningside College in Sioux City. He passed away in 2014.

Oklahoma City, OK: the Committee, 1980. Handbill. 8.5x14 inch handbill, printed both sides; horizontal fold crease, some stains and foxing. On the case of a Native American woman who was in a state of mental distress after fleeing an abusive partner with her son, when they were confronted by police for a littering violation. The leaflet states that when she saw the police grabbing her son, she "exercised one of the oldest and most fundamental rights known in the Holy Circle of Life: the right of a woman to protect and defend her child." She wrestled a gun away from one of the police and shot two of them, killing one. Argues that "If the fatally wounded officer had not abused the boy, he would still be alive today." Silk-Nauni was sentenced to 150 years in prison; the leaflet concludes with a request for donations to fund an appeal.

Tokyo: Tokyo Metropolitan Culture Foundation, 1991. Paperback. 162p., text in Japanese characters, b&w reproductions on glazed alkaline paperstock, softbound in 11.5x8.5 inch decorated wraps. Cover and adjacent leaf bear a faint vertical bend (not quite a crease), a quarter-inch nick to head of spine and mild external edgewear, otherwise sound and entirely clean and unmarked. Expect a massive running narrative in Japanese only, with minimalist captioning in both Japanese and English. A good to very good copy. Squalid US imagery from 1880 (well-dressed thugs) to contemporary make-out scenes and drug injections. Amidst the anonymous squalor a few recognizable landmarks: a bleary Alfred Stieglitz; the Diane Arbus twins photo.

New York: American Monthly Publishing Association, 1923. Paperback. 64p., 5.5x8.5 inches; top right corner is chipped, corners are slightly rounded from handling, slight wear along spine ends, good only. Content on the Russian Revolution, KKK, political turmoil in Germany and more.

[36p.] 6.25x9.5 inches, illustrations, tissue-guards, stapled text-block very good in badly chipped orange pictorial wraps, detached but present, with rear wrap missing most of the outer edges but with images intact. American Guide Series. This item is always heavily chipped if the wraps are even present. Jim Thompson is listed as the Director on the title page and this publication precedes his better-known hard-boiled detective novels. Very scarce.

Tulsa, OK: Christian Crusade, nd. Ephemera. [4p.], letter, 6.75x11 inches + fundraising materials enclosed in original envelope of the Christian Crusades, asking the subscriber for support amidst the suppression of their broadcast.

Noble, OK: Published by the Author, 1983. Paperback. viii, 259p., a few diagrammatic illustrations plus a site photograph, first edition in 8x5.5 inch plain printed grey wraps. Front cover is a little smudged with offset color, and is edgeworn with a quarter-inch marginal tear, and a touch of silverfishing to spine panel. Item is else quite sound and square, clean, and unmarked save for the authorial autograph on the front free endpaper. Womack's research on Cleveland County commenced following publication of his history of the city of Norman. In a brief intro by William K. Meyers of the Dept of History Univ Ok, Womack is praised for tackling local secrets: "the county's first lynching.. [B]lacks in the community, women who made the [Sooner] run.. subjects which our full time academics usually choose to ignore

Tulsa: Christian Crusade, 1972. Pamphlet. Group of brochures received in April 1972. All are in very good condition except for the date of receipt penciled in each at one of the corners. Items included are "Facts concerning the Church of the Christian Crusade" (15p.); a 24-page booklet titled "Concerning Christian Crusade: What? Why? Who? Where? When? & How?"; an 8-panel brochure about American Christian College; an 8-panel brochure about Summit '72 (affiliated with the church's Anti-Communist Youth program); two leaflets advertising books for sale, and a list of programs in the Christian Crusade Television Network. Hargis was one of the most popular conservative preachers of his heyday, but his career withered after accusations of sexual impropriety with choir singers (mostly male, despite the Reverend's lamentations about the "abomination of homosexuality"). First book written by the author, but it went unpublished for several years and was revised and published as his second book. Oildale/Bakersfield author who worked the oil fields in his youth and became an educator in California.

Previous owner's inscription on title page. Illustrated with Watts' woodblocks appearing opposite each of Cudjoe's poems. Includes poem for Martin Luther King, Jr. Watts was born in 1931 in Philadelphia, and was a longtime professor at Winston-Salem State University, teaching in the fine arts department. Cudjoe was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and became a teacher after receiving her doctorate from Oklahoma University.

Kemper was born in Oklahoma with mixed Comanche heritage. He was a newspaper journalist for a number of years before transitioning to life as an author and editor of Tucumcari Literary Review.
