Brief pencilled markings throughout. G. Henle Verlag trade paperback (published in Munich), 1973, 100 pages. 4to (10"" x 12.75"") This is Series XII Volume 1 of Haydn's works, edited by the Joseph Haydn Institute, Cologne, under the direction of Heorg Feder. The text is completely in German (forword and editorial note). Contents: String Quartets Op. 1, Nos. 0, 1 - 4, and 6; and Op. 2, Nos. 1 - 6. (What was originally Op. 1 No. 5 is now known as an early Symphony in A, now known as Symphony 107, and does not appear in volumes of string quartets.) Op. 2 Nos. 3 and 5 are quartet arrangements of other works of Haydn by an unknown hand.
