The original green paper covers were removed when bound & are therefore not present. Decorated title label (a little worn & browned) on spine. 720pp. Illust. This copy was a gift from the famous Western historian, E. A. Brininstool. In ink on the ffep is written, "L. H. Spragle from my ole' pard E. A. Brininstool Los Angeles Calif. Nov/1918." The copy is not signed, however, by Brininstool. One of the rarest & most sought of all outlaw & law enforcement books, this is the story of Judge Isaac C. Parker's Fort Smith federal court which served Indian Territory for many years. This book is a primary source for countless books on territorial outlaws & lawmen.
