The interior of the book is clean and fresh, showing no marks or wear, The illustrated covers are bright, with a slightly darkened past, and very minor wear at edges and corners. A very nice copy. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. Synopsis: Barbie investigates the danger threatening a Japanese exchange student living with the Roberts family.

Kenosha, WI: Samuel Lowe, 1953. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. This copy is in very nice condition, and it is complete -- the doll is in excellent condition, and none of the cloths have been cut-out. The interior is clean, with slight darkening of the paper, and just a few signs of previous use. The covers are stil bright and are also in very good conditon, with just a bit of wear. As mentioned, the doll (verso of front cover) is complete. Scans of the interior are available on request.

New York: Atheneum, 1983. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good +/Very Good +. This book looks new. The interior is crisp and clean, with no marks or wear. The orange covers are bright, again with no wear. The dust jacket is price-clipped, but is otherwise flawless. A lovely copy. Synopsis: Peggy, who does tend to be a bit bossy with her toys, wishes that they could talk. Until, that is, one day she took a nap and dreamed that she was small but the toys were big, and that they could talk but she couldn't.

Englewood Cliffs, NJ: Prentice-Hall, 1968. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is fresh and clean, with no marks or signs of previous use. The yellow cloth covers are fresh, with just a touch of wear at edges and corners. The dust jacket is also in very good condition, with light wear; the worst problem being to colour fading at the spine and front cover. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover.

New York: Harper & Brothers, 1930. Reprinted September 1949 . Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. The interior of the book is clean and tight. A former owner has written her name and address on the free front end paper, but there are no other marks, and just a few indications of previous use. The 13 black and white plates, and double-page coloured map are present. The black covers are also in very good condition, with no soiling and only minor wear showing at tips and corners. The red spine lettering is undamaged. The dust jacket, however, is only in Fair condition. It is corner clipped, and has three large nicks of paper missing on the front panel/spine. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover.

London: Andre Deutsch, 1973. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is clean and bright, showing no marks or wear. The navy covers are fresh, with just a bit of wear at the top and bottom of the spine. The silver gilt spine lettering is still bright. The dust jacket not price-clipped, and is also in excellent condition. The back flap has darkened somewhat, but there are no tears or damage. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover.
