Hardcover has red cloth-covered boards with red simulated leather-covered spine. Spine has five panels with gold stamped border decorations, and gold spine lettering: Punch and 1900 in separate panels. Other panels have blind-stamped shell decoration; covers have blind-stamped ruled borders. All page edged are marbled. Small blue binder's label on front endpaper: Bound by Birdsall and Son, Northampton. Many black and white illustrations, including several fold-out illustrations. NOT ex-library. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Exterior joints are cracked and worn, but still strong. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips. Pages lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple.
