An Ex-Library copy in publisher's gilt-lettered black cloth over blue boards, octavo, pp. xiv, 247. Two sections of black and white illustrations. Includes a section for each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Library stamps in several locations. Free front endpaper has been removed. Best thought of as a Reference or Reading copy.

First edition, so stated, in the publisher's original black cloth with spine lettering gilt on a lined blue panel, octavo, pp. x, 467. Black and white illustrations. GOOD condition with just light shelf wear. Dust jacket has some chipping and erosion at spine ends and flap fold tips. A short vertical tear at top edge of jacket's front panel was mended from behind by previous owner with a small piece of tape. Jacket is protected now in a new sheet of removable Brodart.

Black cloth with a blue spine title label, octavo, pp. 467. Black and white illustrations. Condition is Very Good. Dust jacket condition is Good, with nicks at spine ends and a short neat tear with no loss at top edge of front panel. Jacket is now protected in a sheet of removable mylar.

First edition, so stated, octavo, pp. xvi, 194 plus index. Black and white illustrations. Very good in the publisher's blue cloth with burnt orange spine lettering. Dust jacket very good and ensconced in a sheet of archival Brodart.

Hardcover, octavo, pp. x, 235. Very Good in the publisher's turquoise cloth with white spine and upper board lettering. Dust jacket was not issued with this title.

Quarto, unpaginated, but text covers 52 exhibit items. Illustrations throughout, though not for all 52 items. Catalogue from an exhibition at Hetzel Union Building Gallery 2-30 April, 1967, of African items from Lincoln University's collection. A little creasing at front cover tips, else very good in the publisher's stapled textured brown wrappers. Ensconced now in a clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board.

Publisher's turquoise cloth with white spine and upper panel lettering, octavo, pp. x, 235. Some light turquoise color on text-block near bottom of fore-edge, likely caused by contact with another copy of the same book during shipment from the publisher (see image for our best attempt at a close-up). Color is confined to edges only; no intrusion into page margins.

Publisher's blue cloth with black spine lettering, octavo, pp. 315. GOOD condition, with mild shelf rubbing on lower edges and foxing on top edge. A few faint thin streaks of blue on the fore-edge, likely from rubbing against another copy in publisher's original packing process (Please see image for our best attempt at a close-up). Dust jacket Good-only with random shelf rubs and some shelf wear at spine ends, all prior to the new protective sheet of Brodart we have provided.

Publisher's original brown cloth with spine lettering gilt, quarto, pp. xxviii, 664. Clever endpaper display of familial documents. About Very Good condition with previous owner's name in a small hand at top of free front endpaper. FAIR-only dust jacket is shelf weary from pre-mylar days. Moderate chipping and short tears at spine ends and flap fold points. Rubbed sections around perimeter and at top edge of rear panel. Jacket now protected from further wear by a removable mylar sleeve. A tome, indeed.

Publisher's stapled wrappers, octavo, pp. 58. Illustrated. Previous owner's name on title page and what seems an exorbitant old price in ink on front cover. Just light wear, consistent with age and careful handling.
