Spine faded, still solidly bound, internals quite nice. Harvard educated Horace Ainsworth Eaton (1871-1958) was de Quincey scholarly authority and chairman of the English Department at Syracuse University for most of his career.

Architectural treatise and house plan by modernist theorist architect Eisenman, inscribed by him to Mike McCabe, owner of the former Lion's Head Books (now the premises of Johnnycake Books) in Salisbury CT. Eisenman designed and built at least two modernist structures in NW Connecticut when he was at Yale and would frequent McCabe's bookstore located in the small town of Salisbury there. Inscribed on the title page: "11 Apr 83 FOR MIKE FROM: PETER for my favorite bookstore anywhere! Peter Eisenman" Laid-in are pull sheets from Progressive Architecture June 1977 which has a pictorial review of one of the House VI which Eisenman built in Cornwall CT, just southeast of Salisbury. American architect Peter Eisenman's deconstruction of a theoretical residential structure, desrcibed in an illutsrated 24 page booklet with text by Nina Hoffer and Jeffrey Kipniss and 14 embossed plates printed on white stock and 14 silk-screened color plates printed on grey stock showing the planar dissection of its structure. All presented in 12.25" square clamshell with titles stamped in pink, which match the pink ribbon pulls for the inserts. The whole production designed by Massimo Vignelli. Published on the occasion of an exhibition held at the Architectural Association from February 20th to March 23rd 1985. A fine copy, and rather uncommon these days.
