1969. Paperback. Good. Small booklet, 63 pages, printed in Lima, Peru and distributed by the Embassy of Peru in Washington D.C. Covers are lightly yellowed, with some dirty rubbed areas along the spine. Front cover also has faint outline of removed price sticker, and written in red ink is the world "Peru" close to the upper edge of front spine. Previous book seller has written a price on upper corner of first page.

A Brodart archival dust jacket was placed over dust jacket what looks to be many years ago and has helped to prevent further disintegration of the dust jacket to a certain extent. Large chips/tears all the way around edges and at spine ends of the DJ. Foxing to dust jacket, textblock edges, paste downs and endpapers. Grey cloth covered boards are age-toned around edges, and faded on the bottom edges. Dented and worn corners. Pages are age-toned, free of markings. A gift inscription on FFE, and tucked within pages is a hard written Christmas card for the person who received the book as a gift in 1953. At some point it had been fastened to the first few pages with a paperclip, which left some rust stains and an impression on the first few pages. Printed and distributed by the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI, most likely released during the tenure of William Sessions, who wrote the forward, between 1987 & 1993. Soft cover binding with ghost remnants of an old price sticker on front cover. Bumping to corner tips of cover and the page block. Crimping around outer edges of front and back cover. The bottom of the text block has 3 punctures which have left small, pencil tip sized, perforations at the corners. Unmarked pages. Firm binding. 119 pages.

Raised bands on spine, with gilt lettering, still in nice condition. Rubbing to the bands. Rubbing to the spine end. Front and rear board curl upwards due moisture exposure. Faint residual mildew barely perceptible. Due to the rare binding, we are still listing. On back flyleaf page, "U.S.M.M.(?) Oran, Algeria" is stamped three times. Lettering is difficult to make out. Light foxing to flyleaf pages. Red marbled end papers. Rear end paper is scraped on out edges. Colorful plates with b&w illustrations as well. Text block is age-toned. Really pretty book, despite moisture damage. 295 pages. Pictures available upon request.
