Riton la Manivelle (Riton the Crank) is a barrel organ player from the Commune of Belleville (20th arrondissement of Paris). He is a noted street musician and entertainer. This book is a collection of songs played by Riton and other musicians of Belleville. The earliest is La Carmagnole c. 1792; others date from the 19th century through to popular songs from movies of the 1950s-1970s.
