Wolfrum textile firm in Czechslovakia between the World Wars. The firm was famed for its woolen and silk textiles women's fashions, and their catalogues were very desired. These textile samp for silk, velveteen and wool/linen fabrics provide an invaluable color palett and reference for the costume designer, art historian, textile and fashion collector, and designer for the art deco period. Hunt's priced plans range from a games keeper's cottage (cost: 240 pounds) to mansion with library, dining room, drawing room, entrance hall, and butler's room (cost: 4,500 pounds.) The lithographs are by C.J. Hullmandel. Abbey, L lists this edition which includes one more lithograph than the earliest editions. Respined with new endpapers, still very desirable.

Hampton and Sons was an interior decorator located on Trafalgar Square. This catalogue offered a a complete, coordinated assemblage of furnishings for the suburban house including carpets, chairs, upholstery, pillows, curtains, tabl and related items sold as a package for two hundred and sixty pounds. In addition to the lot price, each item is individually valued. Very good.

A nice aesthetic item in which Mary Smith Lockwood (1831-1922) gives a brief history of the development of pottery. Mrs. Lockwood's Hand-Book is representative of the remarkable popularity of ceramics in the late 19th century; by the 1860s in England and the 1870s in America, people were avidl collecting, painting, producing, and writing about ceramics. This book conta a photographic frontispiece, and a bibliography. Covers lightly spotted, extremities of spine rubbed, front hinge internally cracked, else very good.

This edition of Kugler was part of Murray's "Handbook for Travellers" series that were so popular in England. Kugler's ar history Handbook went through four editions by 1874. Attributed to Mrs. Gascoigne, this comprehensive manual includes instruction concentric, elliptical, and eccentric turning. The frontispiece and plates a all printed in variations of brown ink. One of the plates is folding. The plates show equipment used in the craft and samples of the work. With the contemporary bookplate of Samuel Rhodes dated 1850. Samuel was the son of th noted woolen merchant, Wright Rhodes, of Springfield Mills. Slightly rubbed.

This an unusual book for, even though the illustrations were drawn by men, all the plates were as stated on the title page -- "with embellishments engraved on w by ladies." Tips of spine chipped.
