Jacques Pierre Brissot (1754-1793), was a leading member of the Girondist movement during the French Revolution. The revised edition, greatly expanded from the first of 1654, of antiquary and historian Sir James Ware's (1594-1666) magnum opus; the most comprehensive account of Ireland, from its legendary origins to the conquest by the Normans, that had yet appeared. Ticket of McWatters, bookseller and stationer of Armagh to FEP, near contemporary inked gift inscription to recto of FFEP, foxed. The third published work of novelist Grace Kennedy (1782-1825), a sorrowful, evangelical tale of an impoverished young girl who's health rapidly deteriorates after sustaining an injury to her leg. Kennedy's novels (at least eight) were all published anonymously and rapidly in the early 1820s, and met with considerable success, being reissued late into the nineteenth century. . Waverley was a Scottish civil servant of the British Government, playing vital roles in both World Wars, and holding the role of Governor of Bengal for five years in the 1930s.
