The authors admit that "a rather novel arrangement of material has been made." There are some preliminary materials to provide perspective and set the stage, but the body the work is given up to a virtually undigested patchwork of original accounts, most of them from the Federal viewpoint."~~ (Krick 380). This Neale imprint we nearly took home to read on the basis of what Krick said about it: "Dick loves Ruth, who is being sent away to school, but not before an exciting spelling bee takes place. The pair winds up joyously married, of course, with Ruth exclaiming, "I am so glad I am the wife of a Southerner." (Krick 434). Very Good binding.
