A superb-condition cinema-used Finnish A2 poster for the 1949 film JOHNNY STOOL PIGEON, starring Howard Duff, Shelley Winters and Dan Duryea. The film was first screened in Finnish cinemas in 1950 with no subsequent theatrical runs. This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx. It is in really excellent shape, Fine condition. There is a fold line near the top - slanted and visible only from the verso but none to the middle. At the top line of the titles in the letter "a" you can see a mounting hole and there is an enclosed tear surrounding the hole but this is almost invisible - I guess the poster was snatched from it's mounting without any ceremony. No further pinholes. At the bottom edge there is a very short tear and a smaller nick. Otherwise no edge wear apart from some minor handling creasing. A vintage, original, Finnish cinema-used poster for the first screening in Finland of the German WW2 movie, Strafbataillon 999. The film was first screened in Finland in 1960 with no further subsequent releases. Designed by the prolific poster-artist Engel and printed by Salonen Oy. Signed in the plate. A stunning example of cinema advertising art, this poster is in Fine, vibrant condition, approximate size is 23.5 inches by 15.5 inches, standard Finnish A2 format. SIGNS OF USE: A rolled poster with no folding creases. Pinholes to the top corners only. There is a small tear to the top right corner at the artist's name. Otherwise in really Fine condition. For the best appreciation of condition please study the accompanying photograph which is high resolution.

A remarkable, apparently un-used Finnish A2 cinema-foyer poster for the celebrated Soviet-era, World War 2 movie, Zhivyje i mjortvyje known in English as The Alive and the Dead. Now acknowledged as a masterpiece the film attracted huge audiences on its release. The film was first screened in cinemas in Finland in November 1964 with no subsequent theatrical runs. This poster is not a modern reproduction or reprinting and nor is it Video/DVD-related. This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx and was printed by Rotapaino Oy, dated 1964. It is in Very Fine to Mint un-used condition - unfolded, free from pinholes or other signs of use. This is a rare poster in any condition but to find such a perfect example is a minor miracle. This poster is not a modern reproduction or reprinting and nor is it Video/DVD-related This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx. It is in Good condition - fold-line to centre, free from pinholes or adhesive residue marks. There a few tears to the edges, the biggest of which is 1.5 inches long. No loss of paper involved and therefore easily fixable. The left edge in particular has a few small nicks and one proper tear. The poster is a trifle tanned, perhaps. Notwithstanding the former it remains a very attractive poster, beautifully illustrated in colour (artist name visible in the plate or stone).

An unused Finnish A2 lobby poster for the movie Lucy Gallant, starring Jane Wyman & Charlton Heston The film was first screened in Finnish cinemas in 1956. This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx, printed by Rotopaino Oy of Helsinki. It is in miraculous shape, Mint condition. Unfolded. No pinholes. No tears, nicks or creases. Bright, clean and vivid.

Finland: 20th Century Fox, 1967. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Very Good. First Printing. A vintage, original, Finnish cinema poster for the first screening in Finland (October 1967) of the classic Robert Aldrich film, The Dirty Dozen, starring Lee Marvin. A folded poster in VG condition, approximate size is 24 inches by 16 inches, standard Finnish A2 format. SIGNS OF USE: 2-inch tear at the top right edge. Pinholes at corners. Traces of tri-folding and around these are secondary creases. Minor scrapes to the black titles. At the verso there are a couple of ink-splash type stains. One of these shows through (at the letter "L" in "Jaeckel"). Notwithstanding these faults the poster still presents very well and will look superb under glass. For best appreciation of condition, please examine the high-resolution image which accompanies this listing.

Litho poster, [29 x 23 inches].Very good, some rippling, light edge wear. The poster features an aerial image of Manhattan (credited to Skyview Surveys) with several bold arrows pointing at the northwest corner of Union Square. The Underground disco was located in the basement of 860 Broadway, just above Union Square on the east side of Broadway. Warhol's Factory was also present in this building at the time. The poster lists events to take place the week of and on the day of the Gay Pride March on Sunday, June 27, 1982. No exemplars found in collections or in trade. All posters are presently stored between acid free boards, flat, under weight. They will be shipped rolled, in tubes.
