Binding is loose with light foxing throughout. Boards have heavy rubbing and visible sunning. Moderate bumping to corners and splitting to joints with heavier crushing to head end of spine. Visible sunning to spine as well.

Mild tanning/soiling to the covers and the outer edges of the text block, clean/unmarked within. A sound reading/reference copy of this 1833 edition, and not ex-library.

Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Dent to top edge of front board. Wear marks overall.

Former ownership name in pencil, else unmarked copy. Light foxing throughout. Light damp stain to first 50 pages, lower edge about the size of a quarter, not discolored, shows as a bit wrinkled, some paper undulation, 26 engravings, mostly inter text, 2 full pages. 442 pages plus several pages of advertisements. Preface by author, dated 18th April, 1833.
