London, Henry & Co., 1893.. 1st edition. The author's first play, written in 1891. Hardcovers in green cloth, with gilt lettering on front and spine. 126 pages, deckle edged, plus 2 pages listing books in "The Independent Theatre Series" and "Works by the same author". The name J.J.Dent written neatly on the titlepage, with a stamp saying John J.Dent inside the front cover and on the first page of the editor's preface. Boards soiled, and endpapers and page edges browned. otherwise in very good condition.
