Spine is worn, especially at lower end; boards are somewhat rubbed, with a couple of bits of paper stuck to the front; front hinge a little weak, but otherwise contents very good condition. Gift inscription in lovely 19th century hand - "Captain Roxburgh, a token of regard & remembrance from C. R. Kolbing [?], Missionary of the United Brethren's Church, Genadendel, 18 May 1845" Take this to be Genadendal, Moravian Mission Station at the Cape, the oldest mission station in South Africa, also site of first teachers' training college in South Africa. Unbound copy contains a laid in end page with family information from 1765. 214 pages with all 150 psalms plus a two sided page of register uberdie psalmen at the end which may not be complete. There is some stitching along the edge which holds the book together. This is a small 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" book. There is some writing along the edge of one page, some oil damp stains and and some creased page corners. Book will be shipped first class with delivery confirmation if ordered within the U.S.

An excellent copy of this hard to find monograph edited by Marc Felix and focused on the the traditional knives and derivatives of Central Africa, particularly the DRC. This volume continues the study of sickle weapons from volume numbers 1 and 2. Slight shelf wear along cover edges and spine. Also a small crease on the front cover near the bottom corner. All pages are in new condition. Illustrations and b&w photos, with technical descriptions throughout. Also includes maps.

Also two delightful examples of cross stitch and one decoupage, all in flower designs. There is also one pinprick flower design, which is very intricate and skillfully done. Eliazar (Eddy) de Wind (Den Haag, 6 februari 1916 – Amsterdam, 27 september 1987) was a Dutch doctor and psychiatrist of Jewish birth. De Wind was a surviver of the Holocaust in the concentration-camp Auschwitz in Poland.
Eddy de Wind went first to the deportation-camp Westerbork in the Netherlands as a volunteer to help the (Jewish) people that were transported from here to the concentration-camps in the east.
