Universal City: Universal Studios, 1976. First Draft script for the 1978 film, here under the working title "High School," with a faint manuscript pencil annotation of the release title on the front wrapper.
Several high school students plot revenge and backstabbing over the course of a hotly debated election for class president. The only Motown Productions feature to not feature primarily African American characters. A precursor to the popular coming of age films of the 1980s.
Shot on location in Los Angeles.
Green titled wrappers, noted as FIRST DRAFT SCREENPLAY on the front wrapper, dated November 26, 1976. Title page present, with credits for screenwriters Judith Berg, Sandra Berg, Martin Davidson, and Marc Rubel. 132 leaves, with last page of text numbered 131. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with three gold brads.
