Lynwood Garrison. xx, 354 pages, index, bibliography. Illustrated with87 engravings. expanded from the smaller 1883 edition. These were the advances beginning to be used in the expansion of American mining. The 31 page catalogue of Baird books on science and technology also gives a glimpse into the growing technology at the end of the 19th century. Bound in publisher's dark brown embossed cloth, decorative endpapers, some chipping to corners and spine. A very good copy without foxing, name stamp of J. Hoar, school of mines, Adelaide, S. [A]ustralia.
