Cover boards bound in brown cloth, gilt title on spine (slightly faded), image of Stanley's head blind-stamped on front cover board. Small bit of damage and shelf wear to spine (see image). Some tanning to pages and edges from age. Binding tight. Spine straight. In good condition for its age. The biography of Henry M. Stanley, the man who became famous for allegedly asking that famous question, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?", he had quite humble beginnings and rose to an eventual knighting by the Queen of England.
