About This Item
New Castle, VA.: Cheap Street, 1982. [First Edition]. Anearly taleyears before his initial publication in Weird Talesthis is the author's attempt at a "Last person on Earth" story. The first Cheap Street publication, however; this being the Deluxe, production limited to only sixty-two copies as Jan & George O'Nale explained on their colophon page"This upgraded version of "Ervool" was issued in June, 1982 for the subscribers to Cheap Street. It consists of the original sheets from the earlier "Ervool" printing. . . and a companion book, "Riches and Power,", of the same papers. Both were . . . slipped into handmade cases. There were a total of sixty-two copies with matching numbers issued in this format. " Additionally included is the original publication of "Ervool," making three booklets in all, each signed, numbered by the author. Slipcased by Jury Conant. Printed letterpress, on a Vancercook proof press. As with all Cheap Street publications, a beautiful production. Cheap Street's first published "book." Issued only to subscribers of the press. Very scarce. Fine copies.
