London: Sidgwick & Jackson, 1911. First edition.. Dark blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Top edge not gilt. Small ownership signature on front end paper, a little discoloration of cloth at the fore-edges, a bright very good copy. This is the second binding, with no lettering on the front cover; the first binding had gilt lettering on the spine and front cover, and the top edge was gilt. Copies are also seen in green cloth. An early novel of a super human, a Wunderkind or Homo Superior. Bleiler: Science-Fiction: The Early Years, 182. Locke: A Spectrum of Fantasy, pg. 32 (not describing this binding).
