Identical Gilt illustrations on front boards and to spines. Corners and head/tail of spine bumped. Decorative embossing on boards. No date shown, probably 1860 as the third volume ends with Victoria in 1859. Fully illustrated throughout each volume with fine steel engravings. Some light scattered foxing. Black and white frontispiece portrait of David Hume in Volume 1; Portrait of Marlborough in Volume 2 and Queen Victoria in Volume 3. Some foxing in each volume - various, otherwise generally clean tight and bright. LOOKS MARVELLOUS on the SHELF! 3 Very Thick volumes.
