Handsomely bound in the original maroon cloth boards with stamped decoration and bright gilt titling/blocking to the spine (slightly rubbed) and with the Title/other detail picked out on two bright gilt decorated blocks, to front cover. The tips of the corners and the head/tail of the spine and a couple of points on the front edge are also LIGHTLY rubbed and very slightly bumped. There is a 'Swansea National School ' Prize Bookplate to the front pastedown. No Inscriptions or major Marks. There are couple of neatly closed tears repaired with clear archive tape to the Index. Also a few of the small pinpoint 'sewn' binding holes in the main body of the book which haven't been caught up in the binding during publishing and a couple have widened and torn slightly here and there, otherwise this is an EXCELLENT COPY. Humourous articles = 'Behaviour - and How to do it'; 'The Ladies Monthly Museum'; ' "Mommer" Columbia' and 'An Unconvincing Article on Placket Holes' - all by Frank Richardson & all illustrated by W. HEATH ROBINSON. Various Poetry by Will Hill, and Illustrated by WILLY POGANY. Stories by WALTER DE LA MARE, etc, etc. Articles by E. Keble Chatterton on Players and Theatre. Other fascinating Non-Fiction articles include 'Merry' Christmas in KABUL' by Angus Hamilton; 'From the Inside of a Harem' by Ayche Faike; 'Tragedies of the Russian Throne' by Fitzgerald Molloy; 'Marriages made in Ireland' by Seumas MacManus; Women and the Money Market'.
