Bifolium, 2 pages. An interesting handwritten letter describing an important person in the dairy and cattle business from his ranch in San Pedro. "Written to Friend Fowler (an associate in his farming and mining ventures in southern Arizona). I was in town [Tombstone] had inquired about Coffee & Cranes and found they are still in business... Well about land..I want to get school land and railroad land...I want milk cows and what price per head. sold 700 cords at $250 a cord. Rod [not identified] is still as mean as ever but his time will come..My brother and I are going to go into the diary business and let me see about cattle, likely I will be down in the Spring, your respectfully, Will Peck, writes onto a third page (excuse this for the soar [sore] hands is rough, please write soon." From various early Arizona newspapers, we learn. He and L. Fowler were on the Tombstone boards of supervisors (Epitaph, Septmer 21, 1889, On January 8, 1902 he and R.J. Jones are supplying horses and cows to the Verde Valley for which they received $1,000. On September 30, 1903, he is supplying diary animals to Jerome. In the Arizona Republic November 22, 1928 it notes he has returned from his cattle ranch with 700 beef cattle to fatten on thee alfalfa fields of the [Maricopa] Valley. As late at September 21, 1937 it is noted he shipped a car of cows to Los Angeles.
