Firenze: Felice le Monnier, 1853. Half-Leather. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Leather binding with marbled covers, marbled page edges and endpapers, red leather title labels. The gilt has faded on the spine, mild rubbing to the covers, the hinges are in good order, a tidy looking volume. The text is complete, toning to the title and half title page otherwise bright and tidy. Original owners armorial bookplate of John Benjamin Heath (1790-1879) on the marbled endpaper (Governor of the Bank of England and consul general to the King of Sardinia). Pages; (2), 397, (1).
