Los Angeles: Twentieth Century-Fox, 1977. Original scenario artwork for the 1978 horror film. Depicting the interior of Peggy Ann Snow's Catskills home. Based on the 1976 novel by William Goldman, who also wrote the screenplay for the film.
A young Anthony Hopkins plays a mentally disturbed magician who rises to fame when he begins utilizing a ventriloquist dummy. He rekindles a romance with a now-married ex-girlfriend Peggy Ann Snow (Ann-Margret), much to the chagrin of her hotheaded husband, his agent, and his surprisingly violent ventriloquist dummy.
Gouache and pencil on illustration board. Artwork 19.5 x 14 inches, housed in an off-white 24.5 x 19.5 inch mat. Light adhesive residue on the top and bottom edges, else the illustration is Near Fine. Mat in Very Good condition, with light bumps and soil.
