Contains a large fold out map of the war in North East France in 1814, at the end of the Napoleonic wars (565 by 510mm). Plus a letter of Napoleon's abdication. (complete). Detached covers, the text is complete, browning to the pages, a bit more so to the first few sheets. A history of the last 6 months of the reign of Napoleon by Baron Fain, secretary and archivist for Napoleon's private cabinet. Impressive looking map, small neat low visibilty repair where it joins the book, inscription on the endpaper.
