Small 8vo; 188pp; gilt stamped dark brown, blind stamped borders, red and green accents to gilt frame around title on front cover, gilt stamped pictorial to rear cover, spine gilt stamped in elaborate decoration with red and green accents; yellow endpapers; all edges gilt; 12 hand-colored engraved plates with tissue guards including frontispiece, small uncolored engraved illustrations; a few small page spots, back hinge paper cracked but firm, rear free endpaper with old pencil inscription; very good plus. Exuberant gilt cover decorations to this small book with a juvenile audience. The cover and hand-colored plates make this book special.
