La Crosse, Wisconsin: Crescent Printing, 1961. Softcover in fine condition. Green illustrated covers, unpaged, 14 leaves, 22cm tall, octavo. Inscribed by the author, not personalized. At the urging of the La Crosse Garden Club the La Crosse County board acquired land for Midway Prairie Scientific Area to preserve a remarkable colony of pasque flowers. The land is now owned by the state of Wisconsin and is known as the Midway Railroad Prairie State Natural Area, which lies near La Crosse, Wisconsin. This title includes a list of 104 plants growing in the Midway Prairie and many b/w photos of the plants.
