1960. Original watercolour sketch, image size circa 18 x 21cm, signed in pencil by the artist, presented in an ivory-coloured acid-free mount. This composition reprises the pen-and-ink illustration of Jesper herding the sheep reproduced on page 99 of A Ring of Tales by Kathleen Lines, Oxford University Press (1958), where it appears in black and white. Sold with a 1960 edition of the printed book, fine in dustwrapper.
