This is an attractive 1868 publication, the first American edition of a compendium of literature and poetry. 504 pages with index, illustrated frontispiece, random-cut deckle edge pages, tight binding. Covers have bumped corners and wear to top and bottom of the spine but bright gilding on spine and front cover in decorative design. Small nameplate on inside front cover and former bookseller's penciled notes on inside flyleaf.
