In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket which has some closed tears (internally repaired with clear archival tape) , some chipping and surface scrapes to the edges but is otherwise complete and now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks VG. Internally some browning to the endpapers o/w FINE. NO Inscriptions or Marks. 243 pp. Illustrated throughout in b/w by T. A. Mavrina and K. V. Kuznetsov. A collection of Russian folk tales - the stories include "Peg-Leg Bear," "The Gossipy Wife," "Father Frost," "The Cock and the Bean", "The Fox and the Crane", "The Cunning Muzhik" and "Death and the Soldier", " Fenist the Bright Falcon" and twenty-four others. English translations by Bernard Isaacs, Irena Zheleznova, Eugene Felgenhauer and Dorian Rottenberg. Overall a Very Clean, Tight and Bright copy.
