Good condition. No dust jacket. Assumed 1st edition 1949.
Black and white illustrations.
Orange cloth over boards with brown/maroon design and text on front and spine. There is much edge/corner wear, bumping and stains. Closed book page edges have a purplish tint on top other edges has some soiling and stains. Front end paper has cracked at spine. Text is clean, but some pages have stains. Binding is good.
Overall, a good reading copy.
