About This Item

This book is a commemoration of Unity's one hundredth anniversary told in photographs and narrative.

From the Prologue: "...the Fillmores soon concentrated their efforts on seeking practical methods for applying Christianity to daily living.... This 'metaphysical interpretation of Scripture,' as they called it, was applied to the Old Testament as well as the New and gave rise to mind-stretching insights. ...select the name Unity...describes the movement's basic belief better than any other name; this belief being that we are all children of one Creator and are spiritually united with God and will all other people everywhere. This does not mean that we must be the same in belief, thought, and expression, for there is unity in diversity."
