About This Item
Wraps, octavo, paginated [238]-255. Reprinted from Southern Folklore Quarterly 25, 1961. Light shelf wear and foxing, but GOOD and sound in the publisher's stapled cardstock wrappers. Ensconced now in a clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board. Tuggle, born in Henry County, GA, represented Creek Indians in financial claims against the United states. During time spent among the Indians, he collected folk tales and left them behind in journals when he died in 1885.
