Numerical reference legend along lower border of engraving. <br> <br> Matthaus Merian (1593-1650), was a draughtsman, topographical engraver, and publisher from Switzerland. This engraving was published near the time of his death. Print is in two pieces with original join. Minor aging and chipping to left and top edges.<br/> <br/>
