Thompson and Adam Barnes. The manuscript is two sided on vellum. The manuscript is mounted with a floating mount and framed and glazed along with an envelope above it and the reverse side of the frame with a window so that the back side can be viewed. Envelope is printed with "On His Majesty's Service" and "War-Office." as well as being hand addressed to "Lieutenant General Jefferson[?]" The vellum document cut at the top in the typical wave pattern, first letter of the text is embellished. It is signed by Thompson at the foot where the bottom margin has been folded up about one-inch and sealed with a vellum tie.
