Wrapper shows moisture staining to spine, and subsequent rippling to rear cover and final portfolio of images-some sticking at gutter for final two blank leaves. (See photo for example of gutter staining.) All pages, text, and images clear and usable. Nagapattinam-on the Tamil coast of southeastern India, and the site of a regional Buddhist center-has given its name to a tradition of bronze figures of the Buddha and other deities. This volume is the longstanding authoritative catalog of those bronzes in the Madras Government Museum.
