Early Tolstoy is difficult to find in cloth or leather. These are the original gilded cloth.

Approximately 36+ inches of shelf space. Rag paper. Set has evidence of water exposure.
Waviness, stains.
Water damage. Main condition flaw is exposure to water damage. Discoloration and waviness from moisture exposure. I'm seeing brief exposure to water. I'm not seeing evidence mildew or odor, but if you are sensitive you should probably pass. The water caused some color discoloration to some covers, but does not look like mildew. Usually if mildew is critical you would want to avoid this set as the water exposure may have created a possibility of microscopic mildew. As far as I can see this is still a good reading or display set, and early Tolstoy is scarce.
The rag paper is still good. It's a good reading or display set. Early bookplate., and inscription in some volumes. Set is complete.
