About This Item

California: Presidio Press, 1988. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Signed and inscribed by the authors on the front free-endpaper in the year of publication, "May 1, 1988 For Marianne & Copley, Thanks for your enhusiasm about the book & celebrating its "birth" with us. Best Wishes, Ellie & Barbara." Black hardcover with silver spine titles, 1st edition in dustjacket. A very good copy - clean and tight as if unread. Pages are age toned but not brittle. Speckling to the top edge of the text block. Unclipped jacket with sun fading to the spine panel, minor soil and ruffling to the panel edges and a narrow crease at the bottom of the front flap. 302 pp., indexed, notes, and some black and white photos. Blurps on the rear panel form Lois Battle and Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. Nicely presented and uniquely signed.
