Hardback, 1910, published by Henry Frowde, London, Oxford University Press, 886 pages.
Tree calf leather binding, with gilt detail to edges of boards and extensively so to spine, which has raised bands. Some wear and chipping to spine and its bands, with small tear at top. Signs of rubbing and shelf-wear. Rear board has been substantially scuffed, removing some of leather coating. Binding holding reasonably well, although front outer hinge is partially cracked. Textblock firm. Page edges marbled, as are endpapers. A little foxing to endpapers. Front pastedown contains a prize-giving bookplate. Page surfaces are very clean and appear to contain no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information. A nice copy.

A print of Harrow School, a coloured aquatint by J. C. Stadler after W. Westall, 1816. A vintage print, many decades old.
This print was taken from the book 'English Public Schools' by Rex Warner, part of the Britain in Pictures series. This particular edition was published in 1946 by Collins, London. Very light marking but otherwise clean.
Mounted and matted with white and antique-white acid-free card, measuring 10" x 8" (25.4cm x 20.3cm) with a window size of a little under 8" x 6" and comes in a cellophane bag.
This would make for a lovely gift and may appeal to those interested in Harrow school, architecture, Britain, the work of J. C. Stadler or W. Westall, or art generally.

Description:
The Roman See in the Early Church and Other Studies in Church History by William Bright, D.D. Hardback, 1896, first edition, published by Longmans, Green, & Co., London, ix + 490 pages with 16-page publisher catalogue at rear.
Octavo/8vo, measures around 7 3/4" by 5 1/2" by 1 1/2". Burgundy/maroon cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine. A little marking and some scuffing to binding but quite clean and colouring still reasonably vivid, though spine displays much discolouration. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges. Bumped corners. Slackness to binding, some cracking to inner hinges and some wear. Page edges deckled, browned, scuffed and a bit marked. Previous owner bookplate to front pastedown and inscription to recto of front free endpaper. Tipped-in note or errata. The odd pencil number or mark to a few page surfaces but otherwise clean.
