Description:
The Saar Question: A Disease Spot in Europe by Sidney OsborneHardback, 1923, first edition, published by George Allen & Unwin Ltd., London, 384 pages.
Dark blue cloth boards and spine. Ex-library book with typical markings, reference numbers, stamps, etc. Inscription on FFEP stating that the book was "Presented by Herr von Bulow to the L.N.V. Library, April 1925". (This might be a reference to Bernhard von Bulow, former German Foreign Minister, though does not appear to be written in his own hand.) Boards and spine show wear, with some marking and scuffing. Spine is particularly chipped and torn at top and bottom. Front board a little creased. Nevertheless, reasonably clean. Corners a little bumped and torn. Inner hinges a bit cracked and binding a bit slack at spine but textblock quite firm. Browning and scuffing to page edges. Some marking to endpapers. Aside from aforementioned library markings, page surfaces clean, with no marginalia, underlining, etc. See pictures for further information.
