Rubbed edges and corners with bent under edges of spine. Hinge is split at title page. One dog eared page. About a half inch closed tear page 120. Cupples & Leon Co on spine. Top edge is red. Back cover has a small red spot. No dust jacket. Title page and Contents page have a small tear along the bottom of the fold. Book is complete with 248 pp plus four pages of ads for series books. Illustrated end papers with book written in pencil owners signature Clara Savage from a Book Store in Boston, Ma.
